Have served in various capacities from Sr Network Engineering through Network Administration and
Database Management. With each new position the goal is to increase responsibility and challenges by
increasing technological knowledge and applying to real-world applications thereby making the position
and the company a valuable resource for the customer.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY:
10/14 – 12/14 System Administrator - MWAA AECOM – FSG Washington, DC
Short term assignment using MS Visio to document Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority’s Server
rooms located at their Ronald Reagan (DCA) and Dulles (IAD) airport locations. Documentation was to
serve as a baseline for creation of new server room located at Dulles facility capable of handling all
present equipment requirements with the necessary capacity requirements for 30% growth within 2 – 3
years.
05/14 – 10/14 Network Manager - Torch AECOM – FSG Reston, VA
Brought into the project as a last minute replacement for injured Network Manager on convalescent leave.
Very little turnover information given as to structure of network, applications involved and minimal
documentation. Daily administrative and engineering support for the Torch project to include, but not
limited to the file, mail, phone, firewall, printer, back-up servers and office access systems. Managed the
Active Directory by maintaining user accounts/access, drive mappings. Other non-typical systems were
also maintained and administered to. The duties performed mirror the duties performed at the
Smithsonian, with the addition of the systems not accessed via the AD and the complete desktop
workstation inter-action from software installation to virus removal and prevention.
10/05 – 05/14 Sr Network Administrator - Smithsonian AECOM – FSG Herndon, VA
Duties included the daily administrative and engineering support in the analyzing, designing,
implementing and administration of the Smithsonian Institution’s Active Directory environment
consisting of 8000+ users, 2003, 2008 R2, 2012 R2, Exchange Dell servers and 2008R2 print Dell servers.
Focused attention was on the health and administration of the Active Directory through the AD Mgmt
Console by creating templates for repetitious account creations, creating GPOs to secure user/server
access. Creating ‘Resource’ accounts for e-mail accounts accessible by certain users. Creating groups
under OUs for specified drive mapping(s). Other duties included Cluster Monitoring, pruning, partition
& volume integrity, identifying, updating, removing residual accounts (Active Directory, Exchange) and
associated data locations determined to be inactive within given time parameters. Maintaining print
drivers for the varied number and types of printers/MFPs currently in use. Sole responsibility of MS
WSUS server with updates and patches for 900+ servers from 2003 to 2012R2. Additional duties
included being the alternate administrator for the Citrix farm to ensure that ready availability on a
24/7/365 basis.

09/03 and 06/04 – 10/05 Sr. Novell Engineering Support Engineer
Infostructures, Inc Rockville, MD
Responsible for the daily administrative and engineering support in the analyzing, designing,
implementing and administration of the Smithsonian Institution’s Novell Netware environment consisting
of 6000+ users and in-excess of 79 (local) servers consisting of NW, GW & NT. Focused attention was
on the health and administration of the NDS, through Console one, ZenWorks, server sync, pruning,
partition & volume integrity.
9/03 – 06/04 Independent Consultant Mandrell Enterprises Herndon, VA
Contracted by small businesses requiring, network installations, upgrades and in some cases complete
overhauls of existing legacy systems. The goal of each contract was to create an economical network
which would enhance the strategic requirements of the owners/partners within a budget that allows
minimal maintenance support with the capability to expand the network as the needs of the company
dictated with low impact on budgetary limitations.
09/1997 – 09/02 Sr. Network Management Analyst Engineer Sprint
Reston, VA
Responsible for the day-to-day management of a 1500+ Netware 5.1 and 1000+ user NT/2000 Enterprise
Domain campus network, research and testing of new software and hardware on the market and the
impact expected from introduction into environment. To date have successfully implemented versions of
Novell's Zenworks for roaming profiles and application deployments, ManageWise, HTTP, FTP servers,
NT-NDS integration, DSS and replication services. Microsoft's Active Directory, DNS, DHCP PDC
Emulators, Terminal Services, IIS Services, 2000 Cluster Server on Dell SAN. AD and NT Domain
conception, creation, and security in addition to the creation of SOP's for systems and Data Recovery.
Instrumental in setup of scripting and moving of users from Novell to Win 2k conversion. Converting
network from 10BaseT to Cabletron & Cisco 100BaseT, Fiber (OC-3) and Gigabit Switches. In addition
to assist in converting original IP network to entirely new subnets. Directly responsible for the
requisitioning and purchasing of 6 Dell 64xx servers to replace the majority of Compaq 2000 and 5000
servers currently being utilized for local network needs.
07/1997 – 09/1997 Program Manager Alternative Resources Corp. Alexandria, VA
Responsible for the management of a 250+ user network consisting of Netware 3.12, 4.11 and NT 3.51,
4.0 servers utilizing a team of three network and PC technicians. Duties of the position are to ensure that
customers are responded to within a certain timeframe concerning any problems or questions that arise;
Create timelines and personnel duties for the analysis-impact, design, testing, documentation and
installation standards for the incorporation of software and hardware improvements of network
operations; Create status reports and network analysis reports for future operations oversight and
planning. Responsible for the creation of a customer service center database for tracking trouble calls and
searchable resolutions to eliminate repetitive analysis.

12/1996 – 07/1997 Lead Network Engineer American Systems Corporation Chantilly, VA
Volt Management Services
Responsible for the overall installation, setup and configuration of equipment to be utilized by the users
of AT&T’s WorldNet at various major cities across the US. Duties included the overseeing of two
technicians. Assuring that all equipment and cables were marked, installed correctly and that unforeseen
equipment was installed and setup to the customers specification. Setting up, configuring and addressing
equipment for in-band and out-of-band management through dial-in modems. Equipment consisted of
ODS-1094 Ethernet 10Base-T hubs, U.S. Robotics Network hubs, Wellfleet BN & BC routers, Larscom
T-45 DS
07/1996 – 12/1996 Network Engineer GTS/Duratek GTE, Inc. Chantilly, VA
Responsible for the design, setup, configuration and installation of the network for the JCON Criminal
network utilizing 3Com products. Equipment consisted of 10BaseT, 100BaseT/F hubs and switches, fast
Ethernet switching modules, ATM/DS3 encrypters. The project encompassed upgrading the criminal
division of the DOJ from 10BaseT on the workstations to 100BaseT on a fiber backbone with an
Oc3/DS3 (for the encrypters)/ATM link to other sites.
PRC, Inc. McLean, VA
Responsibilities include the designing of a generic Netware 3.12 server with plug and play software to be
setup on users’ workstations at various sites. This phase of the project consists of building the servers and
installation of equipment that are indigenous to a particular site. The server is then turn-key configured so
that the installation team can install at the site execute several batch and ncf files loading the server to be
warm-booted and on-line allowing the on-site administrator to proceed with their installations. The
servers at this phase will also have a dual-role as the site CC: Mail router transporting mail on the TCP/IP
protocol through Cisco 4000 routers between sites on 57k leased lines.
02/1995 – 07/1996 Network/Communications Engineer Compro Systems Inc. Jessup, MD
Serve as the assistant Project Manager supervising 8 technicians (4 CNE’s). As lead technical engineer
for the Secretary of the Army’s Information Management Center (IMCEN), located in the Pentagon in
Arlington, VA, responsible for serving 5000+ users and over 150 servers on installations world-wide,
using Netware 3.11 to Netware 4.1 and Microsoft Windows NT 3.51. User workstation implementation
ranges from stand-alone DOS PC’s to Windows 95 workstation, and Macintosh Power PC’s. Responsible
for design, installation, implementation, and troubleshooting for IMCEN.
