What I have learnt from
my audience feedback?
How my feedback was taken
 I uploaded the finished video onto YouTube from
which I was able to post it straight onto other
social networks like Facebook and Twitter via
the share button. From there I asked people
various questions about the video in which I used
constructively.
Response 1
 I really enjoyed the back and white colour
scheme of the video as it gives it quite a dark
and nostalgic feeling making it look like the
narrative was happening in hindsight
However I do feel that when it wasn’t narrative it got a
little bit boring but overall it was pretty good video
although it isn't in the genre of music that I would listen to
on a daily basis.

 I liked the narrative throughout the video and
thought that it linked with the lyrics really well
I do feel that there needs to be a larger variety of shots
when the artist is rapping the verses, maybe in a different
setting to make the artists parts a little more exiting
I have never heard this song before or many
other songs by Jay-Z as it’s a genre of music far
from my listening tastes

 I thought that the locations in the music video
were really good as it links with the religious ideas
in the lyrics well. I also enjoyed the variety of
different of shots of like the church and the
pigeon.
I did however think that the lip sync wasn’t perfect in the
first half of the video which is quite annoying as it was a
really good video on the whole.
This song is actually one of my favorites from ‘The Black
Album’ and this is my usual genre of music.

 The special effect at the end of the video was
really cool and something that isn’t really used a
lot in this genre of music
I thought that some of the shots could have been
filmed a bit better which brought down the overall
quality of the video
This type of music does link to my general
listening tastes

  • 7. Feedback  My last two responses would be who I am aiming my music video at and therefore are my target audience. I uploaded my music video onto Youtube where from there I posted the link onto other social networking sites where I received my feedback from.
