ICT is the technology required for information
processing.in particular, the use of electronic
computers, communication devices and
software application.
ICT stands for information and communication
technology.information technology means
creating, managing, storing and exchanging
information. it includes all technologies that can
be used to deal with information.

ICT is defined as diverse set of technology
tools and resources used to transmit, store,
create, share or exchange information.
ICT is a broad subject and the concepts are
evolving. It covers any product that will store,
retrieve, manipulate, transmit or receive
information electronically in a digital form.

6. ICT IN TEACHING LEARNING PROCESS
ICT plays the role in our information and communication process and
their outcomes, as played by other technologies in making our life
comefortable and purposeful. ICT in education as tremendous
potential to serve and help the people connected with the process and
product of education in many ways.
1. Use of ICT can bring about a parading shift in traditional views and
methods of teaching learning process.
2. ICT can be beneficial not only to teachers for their own education
and training but also to use it creatively for accelerating the
educational growth of their students.
3. In schools, or students that have access to computer but no
internet connection.
4. In case of students who have computer services in school ,the
information available them.
7. ICT can be usefull for a teacher in the
following ways:
• It is helpful in the professional development of the teachers. A
teacher can learn various language skills with the help of ICT.
• A teacher can increase is domain of knowledge with the help of e-
journals, e- magazines and e library that can be achieved only
through the use of ICT.
• ICT helps aTeacher to learn innovative methods of teaching. he can
work with the students and various project and assignments. it has
so helps him in providing teaching contents, homeworks etc.
• He may participate in various in service training programs and
workshops which are essential for his professional development with
the help of information and communication technology.
• ICT also helps in framing curriculum of subjects.
8. ICT can be usefull for a student in the
following ways:
• Students can have no limit of time and place.
• student can study through online resources.there are
different resources through which it will be helpful for
students to understand topic. students can learn from
their place and at any time.
• In this way there are different apps through which
teaching learning process is becoming more easy. these
helps teachers and students to communicate with each
other and get knowledge of particular subject. teachers
are also learning different apps use for teaching and
students are using for learning process.

11. USE OF ICT IN EVALUATION
• The ICT can be made used in the evaluation. one such attempt
has been made by sansanwal and Dahiya (2006) who
developed computer based test in research methodology and
statisticks. it has been titled as test your
understanding,research method &statisticks. This test can be
used by individual student to evaluate his learning. the student
can instantaneously get the feedback about the status of his
understanding.
• Student accept more responsibility for their own learning and
its assessment, developing exertise in the process.
• Teacher application of curriculum can be monitord by
analysing test results. this can be used by teachers for
assessing and improving their own performance meeting state
and national standards.

13. Limitations of ICT in education
• Computers limit students imaginations.
• Over-Reliance on ICT limits students critical thinking and analytical
skills.
• Students often have only a superficial understanding of the
information they download.
• Computer based learning has negative physical side effects such as
vision problems.
• Students may be easily distracted from their learning and may visit
unwanted sites.
• Students send to neglect learning resources other than the
computer and internet.
• Face to face interaction between students and teachers may be
reduced.
• Increased cost of education and learning.
14. Use of ICT in Mathematics
One of the first ict tools for mathematics that comes to mind
is the spreadsheet. Selecting appropriate oportunities-this
means of finding activities in the learning area where
spreadsheets can enhance fecilitate or extend student
learning.
Students can use ICT as atool to perform calculations,draw
graphs and help solve problems.
Use of ICT in Science
A veriety of computer applications as been developed and
used in teaching phisics.such as computer based
laboratories,multimedia simulations and inteligent
tutors.ferther more research as often been employed to
direct educational Software design and development.
15. CONCLUSION
The technology is increased day by day. the
internet is one of the most important
technology. the field of ICT provide many
advantages in the field of education. now the
research and reference become easily and
cheaply.
