2. Introduction
 The Massachusetts-based Chamberlain International School originally
opened as the Frederic L. Chamberlain School in 1976. It provides
students with a supportive environment that fosters academic success
and personal development. Chamberlain International School offers a
series of enrichment opportunities, which include international programs
that focus on other cultures.
Educational trips enable students and faculty to interact with students
from different countries and learn about other regions’ history, politics,
language, and art. The students also get invaluable lessons on
international travel, for instance, communication without a shared
language and the negotiation of airports and borders. In addition, the
international program welcomes staff and teachers from other countries
at the US campus.
Travel opportunities include trips to Bermuda and three European
countries: Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. Students who
participate in the Bermuda program stay at the Bermuda Institute of
Ocean Sciences and assist with research and data collection. The
itineraries for the European trips involve visits to various locations of
interest, including historical museums, the Peace Palace, the Van Gogh
Museum, the Kinderkijk Windmills, and the home of Anne Frank.
Furthermore, students are accommodated in old villas, farmhouses, and
a castle.
