1. NME Magazine– Dizzie Rascal Target Audience: I would say that the target audience would be teenagers aged around 13-18. I think the magazine appeals to a wide variety of genres as the musicians and bands mentioned aren't all of the same genre. I think the age and gender of the reader could change depending on the genre of music they are reading about. Based on Dizzie Rascal's urban-rap music, I would say the target audience would be youthful and have bubbly personalities. They are the type of people who like to have fun. The colours of the magazine and all the bigger letters reflect this. The messy background could reflect a hedonistic lifestyle. Masthead : NME stands out in the big and bold red letters. This automatically attracts audiences. The masthead takes up about 1/8 of the page which is enough to do it's job. It is seen clearly and isn't covered up by any images or text. The colour related with NME makes audiences know straight away that the magazine they will purchase Is NME. Sell-Lines: “I'M SPREADING JOY AROUND THE WORLD, MAN!”. This shows the positive approach that I was talking about, It shows that this magazine is one that reflects on positive and fun music and doesn't want to bring out the sad emotions. Main Image: The image is at a canted angle and dominates the front page. Dizzie is kneeling in the picture and has his mouth wide open to exaggerate his mood. Bar code/date issue/ price: This is important as the bar code contains information about the date, price and edition of the magazine, Magazine can't be sold without a bar code and it lets them know how many people have purchased the magazine. Rule of thirds: The left side is focused on the most in the front cover as it contains the masthead and a pull quote.
