a value on our wall into one we live each day. I’m proud to say that our design
team is focused this year on revising our curriculum to include a more explicit
focus on both teaching and leading equity in schools. That looks like everything
from selecting texts with an explicit focus on racial and social justice, to
embedding an anti-bias framework into our sessions, to helping leaders ask
powerful questions and listen to their answers to be sure we understand the
perspectives of colleagues, students, and families. Beyond the design team, LE
has also created an org-wide equity team which focuses on creating shared
language and norms that help us recognize and disrupt inequity while
also rebuilding more equitable relationships and teams, both inside of LE and
beyond”.
