*Process Operator, small pack, - Responsible for staging raw materials from warehouse using
WMS inventory managing system on SAP. Obtain batch sheets from the corporate database,
adjust mix sizes and raw material assays depending on the formulation. Build batch ensuring
proper order of addition, mix times and hold periods. Record all lot numbers and amounts used
on process order data sheet. Perform all required in line test procedures throughout the building
process. Submit sample to QA lab for final testing. Package material through an appropriate filter
into one of the 10-15 different sized containers that is determined by the process order, 32oz
bottles - 350 gallon IBC's.
*Process Operator, liquid blend,- Build simple blends and perform reactions from 1000~5000
gallons using computer generated PLC. Ensure that there are tank trucks available for any bulk
load mixes that are made. Refer to the bulk tanker schedule and communicate with the yard
driver on which trailers may have recently arrived. Always have A-1 package mixes in some of
the 12 mix tanks as to be sure there is available work for the downstairs packagers. Extensive
communication between the other operators, packagers, floor supervisor and truck driver is vital
on this job.
*Process Operater, line 7 cosmetics, - Perform uncontrolled exothermic reactions in a 6000
gallon vessel. Blend cationic and nonionic polymers. Product is heated to a temperature directed
by the lab and then a catalyst is dumped into the mix and the reaction is initiated. Max temp is
recorded. Hold period is initiated and post treatment is prepared and added 1 hr later. Sample is
taken to the lab after product cooling has taken place. The mix is then diluted with water to mid
range specification. Products are used for personal care industry, shampoo, hair gel, lotions and
shaving products.
