SYNOPSIS – A horror mixed with teen drama based movie that tells the
story of a group of teenagers dealing with the loss of one of their friends and
them trying to uncover the truth, but the truth is a lot deeper and frightening
than they thought

RUNNING TIME - 7 Minutes
Genre – Horror
Why It Is Original Idea – My movie is an original as I take the idea
teenagers living within the UK, attending school and mixing it with the
conventional horror type conventions, like jump scares and suspense, whilst
making the audience feel emotion as they have to watch teenagers dealing
with hardship and pain. There aren’t many movies that are like this and make
the audience feel how this short film does, this ultimately making the feeling
of watching it fresh.

4. TREATMENT
NARRATIVE OF THE MOVIE:
BEGINNING – Introduces the main characters of the the story and shows
their emotional state
MIDDLE – This where everything changes and the equilibrium is disrupted
by the news that one of the students has passed away
END – The end of the short film the main protagonist is faced with a fearful,
intense situation
The short film does not have a recognition or and equilibrium
at the end as the end of the short is left ambiguous for the
audience to wonder

5. TREATMENT
PURPOSE - The purpose of creating a short film is essentially promote
myself and my work as a film creator. Producing a short film will add to my
show reel, which shows off my skills as a director, producer, operator and my
creative ideas. This will hopefully lead to working on much bigger projects in
the future
THEMATICS – The message that I am trying to convey to the audience is
that of what happens to teenagers within high school when they are faced
with a traumatic situation and how they deal with it and how they behave

6. CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS
Chads Best friend – Adam
The motivation this character has within in this short film is understanding why his best
friend died. He knows that something was wrong about how he died. However, he is
vital to the story for he film due to he being the next person that the ghost girl goes for
next.
The friend – Marl
This friend that speaks to chad within class was also Chads friend but not best friend.
However, this character is another character that was involved and apart of the bigger
story so they are important to the story.
Chads girl best friend – Ava
She really doesn’t have a motivation. But when the teacher mentions and explains what
happens to Chad, she breaks down and starts crying. She is important to the story
because she will eventually be a person that dies later on within the story.
The friend of the girl – Isabelle
Again this is the best friend of chads girl best friend and the girlfriend to the previous
character. This is important as she plays a bigger role later in the story.
Teacher – Mr. Walters
Within this part of the story the teacher plays a massive role as they are the person that
essentially delivers the news to everyone. Though the best friends know, and people are
talking, the teacher is the person that confirms the death of Chad and realistically
changes the atmosphere and mood of the scene and story.
