This document describes a study that examines the relationship between teachers' teaching strategies and the academic performance of Grade 12 students at Magdalena Integrated National High School. The study will survey 30 Grade 12 students about their perceptions of how teaching strategies like visual aids, multimedia, competencies, and assessment affect their academic performance. The researcher will use a questionnaire to collect data and will analyze it using measures like mean, standard deviation, and Pearson correlation to determine if there is a significant relationship between teaching strategies and academic performance.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This chapter present details of the
investigation as basis for the researcher
to carry out his investigative efforts in
applying the appropriate research
design, respondents of the study,
research instrument, research procedure
and statistical treatment of data.
14. Research Design
The descriptive method of research will be
use in conducting the study to fit in the study
of relationship between teachers teaching
strategies and the acadamic performance of
Grade 12 students.
15. According to Calderon (2008), as cited by
Alberto (2011), descriptive method is also
known as statistical research, it describes
data and characteristics about the population
or phenomenon being studied. This research
methods is used for frequencies, averages
and other statistical calculations. Often the
best approach prior to writing descriptive
research, in conducting a survey
investigation.
16. With this regard, the researcher
considered most appropriate to use
descriptive method since the purpose of
the study is to know if teachers teaching
strategies affect the academic
performance of Grade 12 students.
17. Respondents of the Study
For the reason that the study is all
about how teachers teaching strategies
affect the academic performance of Grade
12 students in Magdalena Integrated
National High School. The respondents of
the study that will randomly selected will
be thirty (30) Grade 12 students in the
school year of 2017-2018. The student
respondents were chosen to answer the
question given.
18. Sampling Techniques
The respondents will be chosen and select
using the the simple random sampling
techniques.
According to Stat Trek dictionary, random
sampling is a procedure for sampling population
in which the selection of a sample unit is based
on chance and every element of the population
has known, non zero probability of being
selected. Random damping helps produce
representative samples by eliminating voluntary
response bias and guarding against under
coverage bias. All good sampling methods rely on
random sampling
19. With this regards, the researcher will get
all the names of Grade 12 students and the
first thirty (30) students that will pick and will
give the questionnaire and able to answer the
questions.
20. Research Instrument
A questionnaire checklist will utilize
to know the respondents mean perception
of Grade 12 students about the effects of
new teachers teaching strategies and how
it affect the academic performance of
Grade 12 students.
21. According to McLeod (2014)
questionnaires can be thought of as a kind
of written interview. They can be carried
out face to face, by telephone or post.
Questionnaires provide relatively cheap,
quick and efficient obtaining large amount
of information from a large sample of
people.
22. Research Procedure
The research focus on evaluating if
teachers teaching strategies affect the
academic performance of Grade 12
students. The researcher describe the 30
student respondents through their
perceptions about teachers teaching
strategies in the Magdalena Integrated
National High School.
23. To gather relevant data, the researcher
will use the descriptive method of research
with a self made questionnaire as the main
instrument that consist of parts.
The researcher will ask from the school
principal of Magdalena Integrated National
High School to conduct a survey
24. The questionnaire will be distribute
personally by the researcher and the
respondents will take little time for them to
answer the formulated questions. The
researcher will retrieve the questionnaire
for tabulation, interpretation and analysis.
25. Statistical Treatment of Data
1. To measure the mean perception of the
respondents about teachers teaching
strategies with regards of its types like Visual
Aids, Multimedia, Competencies and
Assessment, mean and standard deviation
will be use.
2. To determine the relationship between
teachers teaching strategies and academic
performance of Grade 12 students, Pearson
Product- Moment Correlation (Pearson r) will
be use.
