1. Shot Types
Close up: Close up shots give the audience a close up view of a characters face or object of
importance to the scene. For example a close up shot of a characters face to show the emotions
which the character is feeling.
Establishing: An establishing shot creates the scene for the scene or even film so that the setting is
created almost instantly for the viewer.
2. Medium shot: Shows from the waste upwards and the most important part of the shot.
Extreme close up: Shows intense emotion or an important object from a close angle so the viewer
sees all details.
3. Wide shot: Gives us more information on where we are or what’s going on with the character.
Low angle shot: Gives us a view up at characters so you feel like the characters are powerful.
