3. Good reasons to install a NIBE Air/Water heat pump
• You save money.
– Up to your annual bill for heatery and
domestic hot water.
– Low installation cost.
• You reduce CO2 emissions.
– One house equipped with a heat pump equals
taking one car of the road.
• Classified as a renewable energy.
• A air/water heat pump (NIBE Split) not only heat
your house. It provides cooling as well.

4. Principle for air/water heat pumps
How do you get heat from cold air?
Air/water heat pumps utilise the heat energy from the outside air.
The heat pumps are designed for outside placement and
transform the free energy stored in the air to useful heating and
cooling energy and domestic hot water.
From 1 kWh electrical energy an
annual average of 3 kWh heating
energy is produced.

5. Principle for air/water heat pumps
How do you get heat from cold air?
Heat pump technology is actually based on a very simple, well-known principle.
It works in a similar way to any domestic refrigerator, using a vapour
compression cycle.

is colder than the air, causing the
heat to move from the air to the
refrigerant. It then evaporates
and absorbs the energy from the
outside air.

9. NIBE™ F2026
NIBE F2026 is an air/water heat pump, specially designed for the
Nordic climate. F2026 has been developed with special attention
to make installation as smooth as possible. For example, we
always include anti-vibration water connections and built-in
condensate water solution. The F2026 series can handle a
house heating range of 5 – 13 kW.
A broad accessory programme is available, and there are
numerous recommended possible combinations.
•Very low sound level
•Sizes: 6 kW, 8 kW and 10 kW
•Built-in condensate water tray
•Integrated intelligent controller
•Components selected for a long lifetime
•Flexible system solutions
•Discreet design
•Efficient scroll compressor
•Advanced defrosting

11. NIBE™ F2300
The NIBE F2300 is a air/water heat pump, specially designed for
the Nordic climate.
F2300 can handle a building heating power demand of 12 – 22 kW.
The F2300-14 and -20 are particularly suitable for larger
houses/buildings. Great efforts have been made to create attractive
system combinations.
Special attention has been given to minimising the noise
level. For example, the noise level for the F2300-20 kW is no
more than that of a small 2026-8 kW, one of the quietest
units available on the market.
A broad accessory programme is available, and there are
numerous recommended possible combinations.
•Sizes: 14 kW and 20 kW
•COP levels are among the best on the market
•Supply temperature 63 °C at -25 °C ambient
•Very low noise level
•Extended real working range down to -25 °C ambient

The NIBE SMO 05 controller has the new-generation user
interface. You can install it in any convenient room or hall,
from where you can make various adjustments to your
heating system.
The NIBE SMO 05 supports one basic heating scheme
enabling differently sized outdoor units and water heaters to
be combined.

14. NIBE™ F2026/F2300 + SMO 10 system
Individual setup with the NIBE SMO 10 advanced controller and
F2026 or F2300
The NIBE SMO 10 is an advanced control module supporting a
broad range of different hydraulic schemes. The SMO 10 enables
you to combine a NIBE F2026 air/water heat pump with other
equipment and create your own customised heating system. Start
with one NIBE F2026 heat pump; if you need more power, you can
install as many as nine NIBE F2026 heat pumps together in the
same system.
The addition of the SMO 10 intelligent control module allows your
NIBE F2026 to work smoothly in a variety of ways. For example:
– Connected to another heating system such as gas, oil,
electricity or district heating.
– Connected to a NIBE water heater of the size required to
meet your domestic hot water needs.
– If you have a swimming pool, the SMO can connect your
heat pump to your pool and heat that too.
– Systems controlled by the SMO can also incorporate solar
panels, enabling you to use solar energy as a
complementary heat source when available. NIBE ENERGY SYSTEMS

16. NIBE™ F2026/F2300 + VVM 500 system
Flexible all in one indoor module VVM 500 and F2026 or
F2300 for a complete heating system.
VVM 500 is part of a new generation of products, which have
been introduced to supply your home with inexpensive and
environmentally friendly heating and domestic hot water in the
most efficient way. Heat production is reliable and economical
with integrated hot water coil, circulation pumps, solar coil,
control system and immersion heater.
The indoor module is connected to the air/water outdoor unit
and your house heating distribution system. It is also prepared
for connection to a number of different products and
accessories, e.g. solar or other external heat source, extra
water heater, swimming pool and climate systems with
different temperatures

18. NIBE™ F2026/F2300 + VVM 300 system
All-in-one indoor unit cabinet solution VVM 300 and F2026
The VVM 300 indoor unit takes care of your hot water demand
and ensures that the correct heating power is sent to your heating
system in the most economical way. The system work with floating
condensation. The unit produces the exact amount of energy that
the building requires.
An advantage for installers is that the VVM 300 consists of all
the components needed. For example, it includes a built-in
expansion vessel and circulation pump. It is also fitted with a
modulating load pump.
The heat pump is weather-compensating: the outside temperature
is measured to ensure the correct supply temperature is
delivered to your heating system. If you have a pool or are thinking
of installing a pool, the VVM 300 is ready. Installers rate the
VVM 300 one of our most appreciated “all in one” units.

20. NIBE™ F2026/F2300 + existing boiler
This system set up is often used to back up an existing heating
system. The built-in controller in the outdoor unit can work with
a thermostat.
In the case of a wood-fired boiler, the NIBE F2026 is connected
to the accumulator tank, which contains a water heater. When
the wood-fired boiler is not in use, the heat pump starts
automatically, providing an economical heat source. It is
controlled
by a thermostat in the accumulator tank.
In the case of an oil or gas boiler, the heat pump is connected
to the heating circuit just before the boiler, and contributes to
heating the house (but not the hot water). It is controlled by a
room thermostat.
Both of these installations make use of existing equipment and
thus keep installation costs down. However, the energy savings
that can be achieved are not as high as with the three other NIBE ENERGY SYSTEMS
systems described. Air/water heat pumps
23. NIBE™ SPLIT systems
Full SPLIT programme for residential use
We have developed a new range of six different split combinations
suitable for both new build and refurbishment installations. Factors
such as the size of your house, where you live and your domestic
hot water needs will determine which pack is most appropriate for
you.
Alongside the indoor units, three different sizes of outdoor units
are available. Each combination pack, containing a fixed indoor
unit and an outdoor unit, has been carefully developed to achieve
the optimal performance (COP) for heating and hot water
production. The indoor units consist of either an all-in-one cabinet
with hot water cylinder included or a control cabinet (hydro box)
with a choice of separate cylinders.
•NIBE SPLIT is a system for heating, cooling and hot water
production for a variety of house sizes
•Now choose from six packs to meet your individual needs
•Easy installation, especially for the all-in-one indoor unit
•Best-in-class energy savings
