4. What Is ILO ?
It is a specialized agency of the United Nations that aim to promote
social justice and decent working conditions worldwide.
As the ILO celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2019.
How The ILO Works ?
The ILO accomplishes its work through three main bodies which
comprise Government’s, Employer’s and Worker’s representatives.

7. ILO IN INDIA
 India is founding member of the ILO and has been a
permanent member of the ILO Governing Body since 1922.
The first ILO office in India opened in 1928.
 Most important areas affected by ILO In India are
1) Child labour
2) Forced labour
3) Trade union movement
4) Occupational safety
5) Employment generation

8. GOALS OF ILO
Creating more & better employment
Respecting & legally protecting worker’s right
Building & expending social security system

9. CONCLUSION
An ILO study concluded that strengthening Social
dialogue, Freedom of association, and Social
protection system in the region would provide better
safeguards against such economic downturns.
