3. MISSION STATEMENT
I have been with Coastline Produce for over 5 years and was with Raley’s
for over 20 years before that. I feel that my background as both a produce customer
and now supplier is a great foundation to apply my Product knowledge in the
Produce/Grocery Industry.
My career has put me in the unique position of working with produce as a
customer and as a supplier. As a corporate customer at Raley’s, I had the opportunity
to perform Product Development of our name brand items and to ensure its success in
our stores by merchandising it properly. I was able to carry this experience over to the
supplier side, which has helped me immensely at Coastline Family Farms to
understand what customers are looking for. My intimate knowledge of the customer
side of the business has allowed me to implement various quality controls in the field
and in our coolers to ensure the appropriate quality produce is delivered to the
appropriate customers as well as new product development’s. My efforts and
expertise have led to a reduction of customer rejected orders and has resulted in time
and cost savings for my company.
I am a dedicated team player who can motivate people and am energetic
and fun loving. My interpersonal and communication skills allow me to work effectively
in teams, alone, and with customers, which I have demonstrated in the various stages
of my career. I thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment. I am eager to grow
in the produce industry and I look forward to learning more.
