2.  The word quality control is made up of two
things are :-
 Quality :-
The Degree of Excellence which fulfill
the requirement of the customer.
 Control :-
It means controlling all those negative
variables that effect the quality of the products.

3.  QUALITY CONTROL :-
It is a system for verifying and
maintaining a desired level of quality in an existing
product or service by carefully planning use of proper
equipments, continued inspection and corrective
actions as required.
 In Other Words, By Dr. W.R. Spiegel , The Quality of
the product may be defined as the sum of the number
of related characteristics such as shape, dimensions,
strength, composition, work man-ship, adjustment
finish and color.

4.  Quality Control is to established the desired quality
standards which are expectable to the customers.
 Quality Control is important for smooth and
uninterrupted production.
 To produce optimum quality and reduce price.
 To improve the company income by making the
production more expectable to the customer.
 To reduce the company cost through reduction of
wastage.

 To undertake such steps which are helpful in achieving

7.  In printing Quality is control at three stages-Before ,
During & After Printing . Or we can say at prepress ,
press or post press stage . The prepress stage is
different for different printing processes . Earlier We
use Film to plate system . but now we use CTP
system. In both cases quality is important
consideration at exposure or developing time.
 BEFORE PRINTING –When we have raw material like
paper ,ink , or other substrates.

from raw material to dispatch of the products.
 As raw material comes in paper form thenGsm
of paper is checked ,Tearing strength of paper is

catching defects before they get into the final product.
ISO- It is an international standard that many companies use to
ensure that their quality assurance system is in place and effective.
Conformance to ISO 9000 is said to guarantee that a company
delivers quality products and services.
