3. What is Religion and Islam
Historically, religion and science have always been viewed as two completely different fields of study
Religion: The belief in a god or in a group of gods. and organized system of beliefs, ceremonies, and rules used
to worship a god or a group of gods.
Islam : Islam is a Abrahamic monotheistic religion that emerged in the seventh century. Hazrat Muhammad
PBUH) is believed messenger by God (Allah).
It teaches mankind that Allah is merciful, all-powerfull and unique, and has guided through prophets , revealed
scripture and natural signs .
To its believers its mandatory to follow prophet and worship Allah.
‘And Obey Allah and obey Messenger
(Muhammad pbuh)’ Al-tghabun-12
Its scripture is Holy Qur’an and after that Hadis
Muslims follow teaching of both .
Islam is the second largest religion in the world ,in 52 countries. 24% of world.
4. Science?
Exact meaning of science is to study/research. It is to study
and understand any phenomena in the universe
Science is a knowledge or philosophy that man gets from
observations and experiments .
Those experiments may take a very short time or over years
and years and even centuries to construct theories and laws.
Science always run in a systematic way.
Science totally rely on the evidences .
Scientific research is fully depended on the intelligence of
the humans.
5. History of Islamic science
Science developed under the Islamic civilization that started in 7th
century.
Its was the Islamic Golden age from 7th to 16th century. Also Called as
Arabic science
All the scientist during this period were not muslims ,but also non arabs and
non muslims .
But a lot of Muslim scientist and scholars folorished the field of science.
They built the base in many fields.

Islmail Al Jzari: Father of Automoton and Robotics
Abu al-Qasim al-Zahrawi: "father of modern surgery and operative surgery".
Jabir ibn Hayyan: father of chemistry.
Ibnul Hathim: "father of modern optics".
Abbas Ibn Firnas: father of medieval aviation.
Ibn Al-Nafis: "father of circulatory physiology and anatomy.
Ibn e Sina : father of early modern medicine.
Ibn Khuldoon: father of sociology
Al Khwarzmi: "father of algebra"
7. Islam Vs Science
Islam:
Islam is about the strong believes.
Islam is word from creator and supreme
authority(ALLAH) .That may not need to
experiment .
Islam as a religion is analytical, interpretative
way of thinking. and belief in divine and
invisibility of Allah and many other creatures.
Science:
Science rely on the evidences.
In science experiments are of main
importance.
Science is based upon observation,
experimentation, and the ‘if I can feel it then
its real’ mentality.

The systematic study of science and religion started in the 1960s.
The relationship between Islam and science is complex. Today, predominantly
Muslim countries, such as the United Arabic Emirates, enjoy high urbanization
and technological development, but they underperform in common metrics of
scientific research, such as publications in leading journals and number of
citations per scientist .
Islamic countries are also hotbeds for pseudoscientific ideas, such as Old Earth
creationism, the creation of human bodies on the day of resurrection from the
tailbone, and the superiority of prayer in treating lower-back pain instead of
conventional methods.
spiritual tenets and intellectual resources of the Islamic faith actually prompt
Muslims to search for knowledge.”
9. Islam and scientific research Inter
relation
Though islam and science are different from each other in nature of system.
But islam always promoted study, education and research, including scientific and non
scientific .
There are 750 verses that exhort believers (Muslims) to study nature.
