University of Colorado Dance Team
Performing the CU fight song!
Welcome!
Introduction by Project YES Director of Programs, and Dance for
Social Change instructor, Audrey Brazeel. Accompanied by
translator, Jerard Vigil.
Lafayette Elementary YO=GA
Second and third grade students from Sanchez
Elementary will be performing to “Dynamite” by China
Anne McClain. Their performance is dedicated to the
legacy of Cesar Chavez!
Sanchez Elementary 2nd
and 3rd
grade
Students from Lafayette Elementary have been practicing Yoga
all semester with Project YES! They will be leading the audience
through a breathing exercise. Breathe in, & breathe out.
Dance Arts Studio
Performing a lyrical dance to “Soldier” by Gavin Degraw.
Escuela Bilingüe Pioneer
Students from Pioneer Elementary have prepared a
country line dance to “Mean” by Taylor Swift. This song
sends a message to rise above mean people and to always
believe in yourself!
Tara Cluck Dance Center
Ryan Elementary
Students from Ryan Elementary will be dancing to the
infamous “Gangnam Style”! They wish to dedicate their
performance to their grandparents and thank them for
attending the showcase tonight.
Dance Arts Studio
Dancing to “Breathe” by SIA, this piece was choreographed
and taught by one of their student dancers!
Sanchez Elementary 4th
and 5th
grade
Forth and fifth grade students from Sanchez Elementary
will be performing to “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore and
Ryan Lewis. They wish to emphasize the importance in
recycling our clothing and supporting local thrift shops!
Choreographed by Tara Cluck, this group will
be doing a contemporary dance to “I Won’t
Give Up”.
