Advanced Manufacturing students toured facility
and spent the day in small groups working with
our team members.

3. Tours and High School Collaboration Continues
We open our doors to the five county schools on a regular basis to keep
the students interest high. We bring technology to their level…we make it
relevant and show them how “What we makes, makes PMC”. This
students are our FUTURE!

5. Apprenticeship Programs
Worked with Blue River Career, Ivy Tech, DOL, and
other local Manufacturers to establish local programs:
•Year One
•Five Manufacturers, 28 students/apprentices
•Program: Maintenance Technician
•Year Two
•Seven Manufacturers, 13 additional students/apprentices
•Graduating High School students entered
•Programs: Maintenance Technician, Advanced Automation &
Robotics
•PMC adding: Tooling Technician and Quality Assurance Technician

Advantage Shelby County is a partnership between Ivy Tech Community
College, Shelby County and the City of Shelbyville to make a college degree
more attainable for Shelby County graduates.
