To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is in regarding Ashlee Maitoza, who is seeking a teaching position in your
school district. As a faculty member in CalStateTEACH, a technology-assisted credential
program offered through the California State University system, I have had the honor of
serving as Ashlee’s instructor of required coursework and supervisor of practice
teaching. Ashlee is currently completing her field experience in Fresno.
Knowledgeable about the state’s Teaching Performance Expectations (TPE), Ashlee
bases her classroom organization and planning on the California Content Standards and
the Common Core Standards. She is always eager to learn new strategies and
approaches that facilitate learning and make school an enjoyable experience for
children. She possesses some exceptional skills, including a very high interest in the
language arts, and these talents are reflected in her work. She demonstrates ability to
plan and deliver an integrated curriculum, complete with high interest lessons and
motivated learners. She is very positive and friendly while effectively managing the
classroom in a nurturing environment.
The strength of Ashlee’s CalStateTEACH coursework is evidence that she is prepared to
teach all subjects. I have observed her teach several student centered lessons that
highly engaged her students. She has developed a positive rapport with her students
and communicates very well with her Cooperating Teacher and school administration.
Her mentor teacher speaks very highly of her and commends her for her professional
effort.
I am honored to recommend Ashlee as a potential fine addition to your staff. She brings
a high level of enthusiasm to teaching and inspires her students to learn. A wonderful
human being with high personal standards, she seeks excellence in all she does. She
has what it takes for making a positive difference in the lives of many children, and she
will bring pride to your district.
Sincerely,
Shawn Carey, Faculty
