It has been my pleasure to work closely with Mrs. Erin Kessel for the past three school years. Erin has
been an integral part of Mosaica Online Academy for several years, and she has most recently taught 4th
grade in an online learning model, successfully implementing both synchronous and asynchronous
lessons. Mrs. Kessel has willingly accepted additional assignments mid-year when called upon by her
administration, making her a valuable asset to any faculty.
Mrs. Kessel is an innovative instructor. She uses data to drive her instruction, analyzing learning gaps
and differentiating her instruction accordingly. Mrs. Kessel involves her students in their own growth,
having created an engaging digital data wall helping students understand where they stood in concept
mastery, and where they needed to go throughout the year. She is adept at accessing and
understanding student data in order to provide her students with individualized instruction, customizing
learning paths for personalized growth plans.
She is a leader among her colleagues, and has natural insight and nurturing characteristics that enable
her to reach the most challenging learners. Erin’s firm, yet approachable personality creates a calming
effect in the online classroom, and her students clearly respect and respond to her instruction. Her
colleagues also respect and rely upon her knowledge and ability to perform under pressure in the
cutting-edge online classroom.
Erin understands her students and works diligently to ensure that they receive the support needed for
optimal success. She lovingly communicates her concerns regarding student well-being to her superiors,
taking the extra steps necessary to educate the whole child. She has seamlessly implemented the online
classroom for her students and their parents in our world-class program. Her technical skills in the
virtual classroom are fine-tuned and her delivery skills in the virtual classroom are engaging, age-
appropriate, and relevant…she is a well-balanced professional.
It is with utmost regard that I recommend Mrs. Erin Kessel for a teaching position within your
