1. EXPERIMENT-1
OBJECT:- Study of automobile chessis and
function of varries components.
requirement.:- Chessis,engine ,Fuel tank,gear box
propeller shaft, differential, axel,
Flywheel, clutch, radiator.
Theory:- Automobile is a unit which have wheeled
Vehicle carring it’s own motive power
unit .And the frame or base which have loaded all the
parts of the vehicle is called Chessis.
Chessis is generally made compressed mild steel and
alloys such as carbon, silicone ,magnisium
phasphorus , sulphur etc.
2. CLASSIFICATIONOF CHESSIS:- There are
three bas type of Chessis in automobile.
1. Conventional control Chessis.
2. Semi forward Chessis.
3. Full forward Chessis.
Conventional control Chessis
In which engine is mounted in front of driver Kevin .
These type of arrangement avoid full utilization of
space.
Semi forward control Chessis
In which engine is mounted half of drivers Kevin
whereas another half is in front outside of the driver
scape .
3. Full forward control Chessis
In which Chessis the engine is mounted completely
inside the driver’s Kevin.It has a maximum utilization
of space and Chip in his

4. Engine :- An engine or motor is a machine designed
to convert one form of energy into mechanical

5. Flywheel :- A flywheel is a mechanical device specifically
designed to efficiently store rotational energy. Flywheels
resist changes in rotational speed by their moment of inertia.
The amount of energy stored in a flywheel is proportional to
the square of its rotational speed

which engages and disengages power transmission
especially from driving shaft to driven shaft.

disconnect two rotating shafts (drive shafts or line
shafts).

train that cannot be connected directly because of
distance or the need to allow for relative movement
between them.
9. Differential :- A drive shaft, driveshaft, driving
shaft, tailshaft (Australian English), propeller
shaft(prop shaft), or Cardan shaft is a mechanical
component for transmitting torque and rotation,
usually used to connect other components of a drive
train that cannot be connected directly because of
distance or the need to allow for relative movement
between them.
10. Radiator:- Radiators are heat exchangers used for
cooling internal combustion engines, mainly
in automobiles but also in piston-engined aircraft, railway
locomotives, motorcycles, stationary generating plant or any
similar use of such an engine.
