Technology Innovation for Kerala Police from Trinity College
Ricardo Technix, a campus startup from Trinity College of Engineering, will be
supplying the Kerala Police with new and improved alcohol detection breath
analyzers. Based on discussions with the ACP of Traffic, Shri Zulfiker, the college
team developed a device that is pocket sized, much more advanced and much
less expensive compared to the devices currently used by the police. Asst. Prof.
Krishnanunni who led the product development said that the new device will
have digital read out built into it and will be much more portable. The first piece
was unveiled and handed over to ACP at a ceremony in the college. Speaking
on the occasion, ACP Zulfiker congratulated the college for leading innovations
with a social cause and focus on product development. Trinity College hosts the
Trivandrum Technolodge business incubator and has over a dozen companies on
the campus itself providing engineering opportunities to the students and faculty

Trinity eWhiz Expo
A Tech expo was held on campus as part of the
eW hiz Kids contest day. The school students could
see the displays and interact with engineers from
UST G lobal, Tesla Pedagogy, Kerala Science &
Technology Museum, Segw ay etc. The engineering
departments at Trinity had arranged demos of
student projects done this semester. The school stu
dents visited the Technolodge as well. A handicrafts
display and sale was also held.
