Editor's Notes
Dayton Council on World Affairs is one of nearly 100 councils in the United States that make up the network of World Affairs Councils of America, also known as WACA
WACA was founded in 1918 at the end of World War I, and DCOWA was started in 1947 after the end of World War II as prominent Daytonians grappled with the question of how to ensure peace in the years ahead
DCOWA has 100 members. We host programs and partner with like-minded organizations frequently throughout the year.
Most likely April 25 at Lily’s Bistro – awarded first scholarships this year of $750 each to Dayton students and one to students in Japan
Students who participate in JCOWA enjoy monthly activities focused on international topics. In addition, DCOWA hosts multiple regional events during the school year to bring together these students for engaging programs on world affairs.
Students had a chance to engage in conversation with a wide variety of individuals from the Dayton area whose careers involve some connection with global affairs. Thanks to our many "job coaches" for their time. Thanks also to the Rotary Club for the support of today's event.

Emphasize that they should join our mailing list, which has over 350 subscribers
