History Sorting people by physical differences is a recent invention. Discover how the development of the idea of race is closely linked to the early development of the United States. Human variation Racial and ethnic categories, which have changed over time, are human-made. We now know that human beings are more alike genetically than any other living species. Lived experience Discover that race and racism is not inside our heads, but in fact is built into our laws, traditions and institutions.
IFYC finally took life when youth became involved. It continues to rely on youth. You have the energy to act—and impatience with talk only. You employ multiple digital tools to connect—far more proficiently than many adults. Youth have proved to be engines of change already in IFYC as in times before—Civil rights movement, anti-war movements, for example. We can see our community approaching a critical needs for mutual respect and tolerance and growing diversity and economic decline stress families and institutions. IFYC can be a structure for help youth multiply their impact in introducing positive change We have a structure to help you increase the impact Can you attend 4 meetings a year, help plan and attend 2 events a year? Imagine the world youth can make when inspired by common values to overcome cultural, religious differences. What do you think about helping IFYC? What would you like IFYC do after RACE? … . … .. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. IF MORE QUESTIONS, your leader can get them to me, I will reply.
