Creative Connects: Coach April Whittington
Answers, Goals & Outline
 Why do I want to work with children and teenagers?
I admire the energy that children possess, there’s nothing more
genuine than the love received from a child. Children haven’t
been tainted by society’s opinions so they only know what their
spirit tells them. I have the ability to communicate effectively
with the younger generation; I will use that gift to share
positive energy with young minds and spark the ride of creativity
for release. Children are just younger aged adults so if I can
motivate a four (4) year old to love writing his or her thoughts,
by the time that child is 9, they will be able to write a book. A
book that displays their thoughts and holds magic for readers who
need THAT book. Nothing is more sacred than being given the gift
of uplifting children, it’s very important to be a positive role
model and lead by example. I will always pour motivation to
stimulate the art of great minds. There’s nothing else I would
rather do.

Answers, Goals & Outline
 What qualifies me to work with children who are creative?
I was a very rebellious child and as I grew, I learned that life
truly had a purpose. I realized that when I used my words in a
positive way I got positive attention versus always causing
problems. I am qualified to inspire young writers because I know
what it feels like to hold thoughts and not understand what to do
with them. Everybody wants to be heard and know that their work
is appreciated; I know what it feels like to be neglected so my
passion allows me to have an open heart of understanding for
starving spirits to become inspired and free. I am qualified
because I have a passion to make a difference in young lives that
will last an eternity. This is a small step to get ahead in the
race and with motivation and encouragement, young writers can
understand that their ability to use words is a gift of art that
should be shared with the world.

 What do I expect to accomplish?
The only thing I expect to accomplish is making great connections
with young writers and encouraging change. I don’t know what type
of change because all human beings are not the same; I will deal
with each young artists based on individual creativity. The only
thing that a young writer needs is freedom and a few smiles for
their work. I expect to accomplish that! (Sorry, there are three
things I expect to accomplish)
