He is a graduate in Urban Planning from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Mr Das is an Associate Member of the Bangladesh Institute of Planners (BIP). His research interests are diverse and all revolve around Environmental & Natural Resource Planning and Management focusing Climate Change Adaptation and Natural Resource Economics, Natural Hazard & Disaster Risk Management, Green Infrastructure Planning, Regional Econometric Analysis, Spatial Planning & Urban Land Use - Transportation Interaction Analysis. His profound academic and professional background focuses on the sound assimilation of global economic and socio-political context in mainstreaming governance issues as an adaptive measure of global climate change.

Worked as a Core Team Member in “Response of Natural Disasters through Resilience:
Addressing Extreme Climatic Disasters to Annihilate the Insecurity of Food, Nutrition and
Livelihood - A Study on Disaster affected Countries of Asia” funded by UNDP and ICCR-
DRR China. Lead by Institute for Risk and Disaster Reduction, University College London in
partnership with Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology, Khulna University of
Engineering and Technology, Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology and Dhaka
University starting from December, 2106 to December, 2107.
