Infinitives and Infinitive Phrases
An infinitive is a verbal that may act as a noun, an adjective, or an adverb.
An infinitive is formed by adding to the base form of the verb (to +verb)
An infinitive phrase is a phrase composed of an infinitive and its modifiers and complements.
Below are examples of sentences with infinitives used as nouns, as adjectives and as adverbs.

Exercise 1
Identify the infinitive in each sentence. On the blank before each number, write N if the infinitive is used as a
noun, Adj if it used as an adjective and Adv if it is used as an adverb.

3. Andy prefers to visit his uncle in Aklan.
