ACHIEVEMENTS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Calibrate and maintain research Laboratory equipment: ADVIA 120 and STA-R Evolution.
Maintains SOPs for review and approval by task area manager, monitor compliance with IRB,
DOD FDA and AABB. Performs hands-on laboratory duties; venipuncture and collection of
whole blood units and components with Trima Accel.
*Direct and shape the curricula and teaching process for the campus HVAC, MA and MAA
programs. Research and design educational materials and instructional methods. Mentoring
new teachers, teaching workshops, seminars and observing teachers in the classroom.
Provide constructive feedback based on teacher evaluations. Advise educators on how to
comply with local, state, national standards, regulatory and accreditation compliance,
as well as work closely with school boards to apply the board's rules and regulations.
*Manufactured Whole Blood and its components in accordance with FDA and AABB guidelines.
*Accountable for ensuring the fulfillment of educational goals and objectives, and
ensuring program compliance with state DOE Cords. Board standards as well as maintaining
full accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education
Programs. Meeting student retention goals; directing and participating in educational
planning; program organization; staffing, training and supervision of faculty; evaluating
program faculty and student performance; motivating and advising students; developing and
maintaining the program budget and generating program reports.
*Supervise the overall operational aspects of the Platelet Apheresis department, ensuring
compliance with regulatory agencies, equipment calibration and validation, inventory
and employee evaluations.

condition or physical state by utilizing the IDC.9 coding of active duty member (i.e.,
USN, USMC, USAF, USCG & USA) health and personnel records after the physician referral
to a Medical Board.

performance and operations of advanced laboratory procedures such as auto analyzers,
recording spectrophotometers, blood gas analyzers, flame photometers (emission and
absorption), sequential multiple analyzers, all phases of blood donor processing and
blood banking procedures, clinical bacteriology, mycology, serology, hematology,
parasitology, general and clinical chemistry, toxicology and urinalysis.
