UNIT 4: HOW ABOUT WORKING?

utilizando frases hechas, expresiones idiomáticas, oraciones breves y simples y 
vocabulario temático de la unidad. 
You are going to give an oral presentation about any volunteering organization (see the list 
below). You are free to choose, but you will have to follow the instructions: 
1. You are going to get together with a partner, give a short description of the 
organizaion you chose and explain what is it about. 
Include: 
 Name 
 Description of the program (what they do, lenght of the program, etc) 
 Requirements (age, language, etc) 
 Prizes and what the program includes 
2. The presentation is due in October 13rd week. 
3. You have to use material to support your presentation ex. PowerPoint. 
4. Points will be discounted if you are not prepare to present.

  • 1. ORAL PRESENTATION RUBRIC UNIT 4: HOW ABOUT WORKING? SEGUNDO MEDIOS C/1 Name_______________________________________Class 2° M / ______ Points 54/__ Aprendizaje esperado: Expresarse oralmente a través de monólogos breves y simples, utilizando frases hechas, expresiones idiomáticas, oraciones breves y simples y vocabulario temático de la unidad. You are going to give an oral presentation about any volunteering organization (see the list below). You are free to choose, but you will have to follow the instructions: 1. You are going to get together with a partner, give a short description of the organizaion you chose and explain what is it about. Include:  Name  Description of the program (what they do, lenght of the program, etc)  Requirements (age, language, etc)  Prizes and what the program includes 2. The presentation is due in October 13rd week. 3. You have to use material to support your presentation ex. PowerPoint. 4. Points will be discounted if you are not prepare to present. Language Speaks clearly and distinctly all (100- 90%) the time, and mispronounces no words. (3) Speaks clearly and distinctly most (89- 75%) of the time, but mispronounces more than 3 words. (4-5) Speaks clearly and distinctly nearly most (74-60%) of the time. Mispronounces more than five words. (+5) Often mumbles or can not be understood OR mispronounces more than eight words. (+8) Vocabulary Uses vocabulary related to volunteering. Extends audience vocabulary by defining words that might be new to most of the audience. (+5) Uses vocabulary related to volunteering. Includes +3 words that might be new to most of the audience, but does not define them. Uses vocabulary appropriate related to volunteering. Does not include a lot of vocabulary that might be new to the audience. (- 3) Uses several (5 or more) words or phrases that are not understood by the audience. Preparedness Student is completely prepared and has obviously rehearsed. Student seems pretty prepared but might have needed a couple more rehearsals. The student is somewhat prepared, but it is clear that rehearsal was lacking. Student does not seem at all prepared to present. Posture and Eye Contact Stands up straight, looks relaxed and confident. Establishes eye contact with everyone in the room during the presentation.
