What is the purpose?
Teach the youth how to be a public speaker.
Teach positive and effective communication
and behavior.
Bring out their full potential while bringing out
their passion and courage hidden within.
• Orientation
• OBC guideline
• Icebreaker interview a
partner activity-
• Mini speech following the
interview to give them an
idea of what a speech
should be like.
• Table Topics session with
preparation time of 15-20
minutes.
How? - Step 1- Teach them the
know how
Step 2- Teach them the
self-evaluation from observation / debate
• Coordinator records their first
speech on video
• Everyone watches the video and
looks at what can be better and
what is good. (divided piece of
paper)
• Education Session on How to
debate- (example session) - Next
week students had to make a
debate.
• Table Topics session with
preparation time of 15-20 minutes.
Step 3- Teach them the
interpersonal skills to help their leadership.
• Students present their
debates
• Evaluation
• Learning interpersonal
skills is necessary to be
a good leader.
• Table Topics Session
Given Topic Interpersonal Activity
Step 4- Teach them how to rehearse
effectively with positive reinforcement
and self-awareness.
Step 5- Teach them financial responsibility
for leadership skills.
• Students had to calculate how much money a
teenager can save in 2 years of monthly deposits.
• Students identified and understood how money can
grow over time.
• Calculation Guide:
• Previous balance x .05 = current interest
• Monthly Deposit + Interest + Previous Balance =
Current Balance
Step 6 - Teach balancing
relieving stress and studies.
• They can’t be a good
leader if they don’t
balance their life.
Step 7 - Teach how to react
to difficult people and build
courage
• Session on strategies
on handling difficult
behavior from people.
• Group activity- practice
responding to harsh
words and toxic behavior
that can hurt their self-
esteem or in general
make them angry.
Without the right
kind of Courage
you can’t
be a good
leader!
