 The BSE Sensex closed 115 points, or 0.28 percent, higher at 41,673.92 while the Nifty pack
settled at 12,259.70, up 38 points, or 0.31 percent.
 BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices underperformed the benchmark, closing 0.17 percent and
0.06 percent up, respectively. Among the sectors, BSE Telecom rose 2 percent and BSE Ener-
gy finished 1.37 percent up.
