 At close, the Sensex was down 70.99 points at 40,938.72, while Nifty was down 26
points at 12,060.70. About 1122 shares have advanced, 1342 shares declined, and 207
shares are unchanged.
 Grasim Industries, Adani Ports, JSW Steel, ITC and Eicher Motors were among ma-
jor losers on the Nifty, while gainers were TCS, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra,
Kotak Mahindra Bank and HDFC.

 JB Chemicals to hike prices: The company will implement the price increase from the next
manufacturing batch after National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Authority notified one-time
price increase of 50% from the present ceiling price of several formulations including four
formulations of Metronidazole manufactured by company.
 Tilaknagar Industries Q2 result: The company's Q2FY20 consolidated net loss at Rs 36.3
crore against loss of Rs 42.1 crore, while revenue was up 17.6% at Rs 197.7 crore versus Rs
168.1 crore, YoY.
 V-Mart Retail opens new store: V-Mart Retail has opened a new store in the state of Uttar
Pradesh. With this total number of stores of V-Mart increased to 255 stores in 189 cities
across 19 states and total tally of stores in Uttar Pradesh to 97.
 State Bank of India (SBI) signed loan Agreement with KfW, the German development bank,
for $277 mn (~Rs.1,958 Crores) for establishing an Energy Efficient Housing Program in In-
dia.
 Apollo Tyre: After many years of consolidation, the stock has taken support again within
the range of 130-150.Being a manufacturing industry, it also enjoys the recent tax cut announce-
ments by the government. One can buy it with the target expectations of Rs 250.
 Hindalco Industries :This Metal stock has been moving in a larger consolidation pattern over
the last few months. During this period the stock price has faced a key overhead resistance
around Rs 206-207 levels and failed to sustain above it. Recently, it moved above the resistance
and showed an attempt to break out on the upside from this key hurdle. A sustained move above
Rs 209-210 could open up renewed buying enthusiasm in the near term.
