 At close, the Sensex was up 413.45 points or 1.01% at 41352.17, and the
Nifty was up 111 points or 0.92% at 12165. About 1427 shares have ad-
vanced, 1052 shares declined, and 194 shares are unchanged.
 Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, Hindalco, Vedanta and Tata Motors were among
major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Sun Pharma, GAIL, Bajaj
Auto, HUL and Titan Company

 Petco Selects TCS Optumera: The company has been selected by Petco, America's leading
pet specialty retailer, to deploy TCS Optumera", an Al-powered merchandise optimization
suite.
 Indraprastha Gas Limited: IGL has been consolidating in a range of 400-425 nearly a month
after making a new record high at 438.70. It is currently trading closer to the upper band of
the same and likely to see a breakout in the near future.
 Grasim Industries Ltd : Grasim has been trading in a downtrend for the last one and a half
years. Though it has had witnessed counter moves in between but failed to reverse the trend.
 In line with the past instances, it has made an attempt to surpass the hurdle of multiple mov-
ing averages of late but failed and that has resulted in the formation of a fresh shorting pivot.
We advise creating fresh shorts in the given range of 769-774.
 Star Paper, Malu Paper, Emami Paper share prices rally 10% on budget incentive
buzz,Star Paper, Malu Paper and Emami Paper share prices rallied 10 percent each on De-
cember 17 following media reports that the Budget 2020 could offer incentives to the indus-
try.JK Paper, International Paper APPM, Pudumjee Paper, Seshasayee Paper and West Coast
Paper also saw their share prices go up more than 5 percent each.
 Prince Pipes IPO opens on December 18 The initial public offering of Prince Pipes and
Fittings will open for subscription on December 18. The bidding for anchor investors' re-
served portion will open for a day on December 17. All potential bidders, other than anchor
investors, shall participate in the offer mandatorily through the Applications Supported by
Blocked Amount (ASBA) process (including UPI ID in case of retail individual bidders, if
applicable) by providing details of their respective bank accounts in which the corresponding
bid amount will be blocked by the SCSBs.
