• Microsoft Azure deployment
EXM can now be deployed on Microsoft Azure Web App. Installation and configuration across scaled
environments is now fully automated using PowerShell, getting you up and running quickly and
reliably.
• Dedicated DedicatedDispatch configuration
Sitecore 9.0.1, a new Sitecore Role Server configuration has been added
called DedicatedDispatch. This allows a Sitecore instance to be configured as an EXM
Dedicated Dispatch Server. This will helps client in sending emails in less time if there is huge
number of emails. Exm.web database has been removed
• New information in the reporting dashboard. You will now be able to see your top-level Sent, Delivered,
Open, and Click Metrics in the top left pane of the dashboard as standard. See a spike in results and
want to drill down further? With the dashboard filters, slice your top-level stats by date and time range.
• Use custom tokens for better personalization.
• EXM 3.5 removes the use of Engagement Plans from email campaign creation.

Top-level Sent, Delivered, Open, and Click Metrics in the top left pane of the dashboard as standard.
With the dashboard filters, slice your top-level stats by date and time range. Furthermore, with the “Top 5” report,
can now jump directly into the detailed report for an email with a single click:

• Apply personalization on emails.
You can create email campaigns that only display the content that each recipient previously has shown
an interest in, or content based on accumulated profile values or the pattern card that they match the
best.
• Insert custom tokens based on user data
You can use tokens to personalize your email campaign messages. For example, in the beginning of a
message, you can use the token $name$ in the greeting so that when you send your email campaign,
the token is replaced with the name of the contact.
