Personal Profile: I am an experienced manager who thrives on challenges
In addition to the every day skills needed in directing a team
of recruitment consultants, my roles have also required me to
be responsible for Business Development, Sales and
Marketing, Financial Planning,(including P&L’s and Cash
flow forecasting) Budget Controls, Project Management,
Health and Safety, Staff recruitment and training and Legal
responsibilities and Business Start ups.
I am a self starter who is results driven.
My years in industry have enabled me to develop myself into
a person that can lead by example and motivate others to
achieve their own goals and maximise their strengths by
employing individual development strategies and promoting
teamwork whilst not loosing sight of individuality.
By using this consultative approach, I have taken start up
business and managed them into profit in both single and

2. Work History
Infinis 2010 to Date
Field Services Engineer
I am employed as an Engine Technician, on land fill gas sites
maintaining and repairing a range of Jenbacher power
generation units.
My duties include general day to day and weekly checks on
the engines, alternators and gas plants, and associated
equipment such as compressors.
I also repair all of the equipment in the event of a breakdown
or power plant shut down both covering both electrical and
mechanical failures.
2009 -2010
Daher Aerospace Derby
Contract Engineer
I was employed as a Contract engineer to work on a project
for UKAEA. Building test rigs for nuclear reactors. In this role
I was assisting the lead project engineer to build highly
specialised parts for a nuclear reactor.
How ever I have been also carrying out other duties including
inspection, Manufacturing Engineering, Progress Chasing,
and Project Management.
March 2007 – Sept 2009 Director
Orbis Engineering.
Supporting a new business from a start-up and assisting
them in identifying and develop new markets.
In this start up business I was responsible for the recruitment
of Engineering staff at all levels globally across a wide range
of sectors with a major focus on the renewable energy
sector.
Selling into a wide range of business at all levels.
The tendering and implementation of in house and external
recruitment programs ensuring all vacancies are filled.
The implementation of an online recruitment system.
I won several contracts the largest was to recruit up to 1800
engineers from all over Europe.
Setting up and running recruitment campaigns, attending
trade and industry shows and Universities to promote our
client. We supported all candidates with full welfare support.
Due to the banking crisis our funding was removed and as
many companies were removing their middle and senior
management, I returned to my original training securing a
position as an engineer.
3. 2005 – 2007
Volt Europe.
Engineering Manager.
I was recruited to head up Volt Europe’s new venture into the
Engineering sector. I was responsible for setting up a new
office based in Derby and recruiting and training a new and
unproven team.
During my time at Volt, I have taken the Engineering Division
from a standing start to a 1.3 million turnover in the first full
year of trading and a projected turnover of 2.3 millions in the
second full year.
I was also the account manager for two very large global
contracts. (Goodrich Aerospace and 3M) My role in these
was account development and ensuring that all the SLA’s
were fulfilled.
Ensuring the internal recruitment for these contracts was
completed in a timely manor.
I was responsible for the in house recruitment for the contract
including dealing with all of the line managers and the
supporting agencies.
I was also responsible for the implementation of these
accounts.
Attending trade shows to promote both Volt Europe and
Goodrich.
This involved visiting multiple sites across the UK on a
regular basis to ensure the contract was running to the
Service Levels agreed in the contract. Ensuring that all roles
had been filled and preparing strategies for any future
recruitment programs.
Also the continual monitoring of contractors paper work and
holding workshops for both the client and the contractors to
ensure they were kept aware of any changes in the law or
working practices.
My day-to-day duties included full P & L responsibility for the

master vender contracts and single supplier contracts, this
also included all of the negotiations with the client and setting

4. 2000 – 2005
Dice Recruitment Ltd.
Managing Director
I was responsible for the start up procedures of Dice
Recruitment Ltd.
Dice grew to 4 remote offices and 40 staff in locations spread
around the UK. I was responsible for the profitable
functioning of all of the branches.
I was responsible for setting all targets and assisting all of my
consultants and branch managers to achieve these.
This included
Setting up the business, finding offices, funding, accountants
etc
Sales Generation
Creating new leads by cold calling and client facing, I was
responsible for all large contract negotiations.
I was also responsible for the control of several onsite
contracts ensuring these were run correctly and profitably.
Setting out budgets and cash flow forecasts
Interviewing and recruiting staff
Planning and implementing recruitment campaigns for clients
by planning attending trade shows and recruiting directly
from Universities across the UK.

I was responsible for selling technical documentation and
illustration services and software products to end users.
This involved marketing campaigns and field sales also
attending trade show t demonstrate the products to large
audiences

Branch Manager
I set up ETI to specialise in the recruitment of both locum and
permanent Dispensing and Ophthalmic optometrists.
I regularly attended Universities and to recruit recently
qualified graduates to place in such companies as D & A.,
Spec Savers etc.
We also recruited post graduates for independent companies
and the normally targeting the larger chains. I was
responsible for the day-to-day running of the company
including staff training, Sales and Marketing, full P&L. and
HR.

1983 I was awarded a commendation for bravery.
I ran a rally car in the midlands championship from 2002 to
2005 coming second in the championship in my second
season
I also paint in both oils and watercolour and I am a keen
photographer.
