Toll People have an end-to-end recruitment model, which is tailored according to client requirements. It encompasses all aspects of the
recruitment process including candidate sourcing, CV screening, initial candidate screening, interviewing, assessments, reference checking,
referrals and follow up. Importantly, a single consultant who is a specialist in the relevant discipline and industry will manage each
assignment.

1. Role Briefing
The recruitment process commences with the Consultant obtaining a full role briefing from which the methodology of selection are agreed
and documented. The recruitment process is linked to more than the role itself, with other issues related to the team make-up, performance
standards, organisational strategy and values / culture also taken into account as outlined in the model above.
2. Candidate Sourcing
The Consultant recommends a candidate sourcing strategy based on experience, current candidate market and client requirements. The
initial sourcing of the candidate is conducted by searching Fast track, our candidate database.
Toll People will carry out the following unless otherwise agreed:
Search the regional and national database, print/internet advertising and industry networking to target quality candidates who match the
agreed criteria. In the event that a suitable candidate is not identified, the Toll People Consultant will liaise with our clients HR and/or line
Management to advise of an alternative sourcing strategy.
The following processes will be undertaken by Toll People Consultants in assessing a candidate:
(a) CV Screening
When a candidate forwards their CV, this document is placed directly into the Fast Track system to enable the Consultant to make notes or
comments about the candidate’s skills.
(b) Initial Candidate Screening
In-depth behavioural screening is undertaken on all candidates against the role brief before interviewing takes place.
(c) Interviewing
The Consultant will conduct a competency-based (behavioural) interview with every suitable candidate. This enables the Consultant to
understand the needs and expertise of candidates in addition to making an assessment against the required competencies.
Our interview process is based around 3 principles of Experience, Attitude and Cultural Fit.
The process uses behavioural interview techniques which evaluate candidate’s work ethic, flexibility and ability to communicate. Our
consultants also ask pre-established competency style questions to determine whether a candidate’s experience and career goals are truly
compatible with the client’s needs.
All Toll People Consultants are trained in competency-based (behavioural) interviewing techniques and our interview process combines
behavioural questions and preference-based questions. This enables the Consultant to understand the needs and expertise of candidates in
addition to making an assessment with regard to the required competencies and motivation for the role. In the event that a client wishes to
complement our interview process with additional role specific questions, we would be happy to oblige.
(d) Assessments
Toll People applies a number of comprehensive candidate testing tools to assist us in the process of matching candidates against client’s
requirements, including occupational assessments, computer skills testing, numeracy and literacy assessments and psychological
assessments. In addition to our standard tools we also have the capacity to source and implement a range of assessment tools to the
client’s specifications.
The real value of psychological assessment is best achieved through partnering with a supplier who can build a model that fits a clients
needs. The Toll People assessment methodology thus assumes a collaborative working relationship, in which the following aspects are

(e) Reference Checking
Consistent with Toll People's recruitment methodology, reference checks are based on a quality process. In addition to confirming
employment dates and role dimension, reporting relationships, salary and the reason for leaving, comprehensive reference checks cover the
following areas:

- Competencies required for the role
- Team leadership contribution

- Motivation
- Attitude
- Environment
- Ability
Toll People will conduct a minimum of two reference checks, covering an appropriate timeframe for each candidate. The Consultant must
have obtained the candidate's permission before approaching potential referees in accordance with Australian Privacy Laws. The Consultant
will seek references from the candidates' previous/current employer(s) to whom the candidate reported/reports to. Where an objective
assessment cannot be made, it may be acceptable to contact another manager. Reference check information will then be passed to the
client verbally.
3. Referring Suitable Candidates
The Consultant will coordinate the interview/job booking location and times by consulting the Hiring Manager. The Consultant will speak
directly to the Candidate and confirm the location and time via email and/or telephone with both the Hiring Manager and the Candidate.
All information will also be stored and progressively updated on the Fasttrack system. The system has the capability to notify the Consultant
of key events, such as final interview, start dates, inductions, and one or three month follow up calls.
Toll People believes communication throughout the notice period is critical to the process. Toll People Consultants work to limit the chance
and success of counter offers from either the existing employers or alternative opportunities through clear and continual communication with
the candidate.

4. After PlacementFollowup
Toll People’s service doesn’t end when the placement is made. It is as important to us as it is to you that your new employee has the right
skills and attitude and is fitting into your company culture.
Our Consultant will call you frequently and meet face to face with both the Hiring Manager and the new employee to ensure that both parties
are happy. Sometimes new employees are nervous in raising any issue with their new employer, as they do not want to get off on the wrong
foot. At times, small issues can become big issues if not resolved which may result in the new employee leaving, or the employer believing
they have hired the wrong person.
Candidates will often confide in the Consultant who placed them which then allows our Consultant to address any issues with the employer
enabling the new employee and the employer to resolve the issues before they result in staff turnover.
Relationship Management
As with all business relationships, it is paramount that the relationship is fostered at all levels. Experience has shown that for volume
business this is normally focused in 2 specific areas; strategic and transactional, with other specialist relationships developed with regard to
OH&S, accounting, etc.
Strategic
The relationship between you and the Toll People Management depends on the vitality and direction of the association. Revisited as
required, normally quarterly once the relationship has been established.

AccountManagement
Toll People’s Account Managers are recruitment professionals experienced in managing high volume customers, with knowledge across all
facets of the recruitment process from Industrial Relations and OH&S to staff performance, conflict management and payroll.
Our internal relationships between Account Managers, Consultants and Payroll ensure open and concise communication allowing Toll
People’s coordination of the provision of our recruitment services to be both professional and effective for our customers.
Toll People’s Account Managers place a heavy emphasis on building open and strong business relationships throughout all levels of the
business and are proactive in responding to queries and problems in a timely manner to meet all service requirements as requested by their
customers. Due the level of expertise the Toll People Account Managers have the authority to make operational decisions for their
customers alleviating delays.
Our Account Managers are selected not only on their recruitment experience but their commitment to providing the highest level of customer
service, their energy and their enthusiasm for what they do.
A Toll People Account Manager would be specifically selected for Freight Specialist, and they will act as the central point of contact to
ensure continuity in business relationships, site knowledge and staff management. They will be available at the site as requested; as well as

The attached standard terms and conditions embodies the entire understanding and agreement between Toll People and the client and
supersedes all previous negotiations, understandings, representations or commitments in relation to the provision of the Services. These
terms and conditions can only be amended by agreement between the parties in writing.
Upon placement of the order for the Services, the client accepts and agrees that any Services provided will be in accordance with the
notified rates and the attached terms and conditions.
