• PRs: Admissions Decline from 40,630 in July to 34,920 in August. August year-over-year change (change from 2021 in parentheses): Economic - PNP -1.6%
(67.1%), Economic - Federal 10.4% (-34.7%), Family -3.9% (7.7%), Refugees -11.3% (1.7%)
• Applications: Given time delays in entering application data, am using a six month time lag. From 35,572 in January (time delays greater) to 29,481 in February. February year-over-year change (change from 2020): 24.6% (-35.6%).
• Express Entry and Arrima Invitations to Apply: Increase from 9,984 (1,384 Arrima) in August to 10,751 in September. September year-over-year change (change from 2020): 16.7% (9,984 (116.4%)
• Web “Immigrate to Canada”: Decrease from 426,233 in August (outside Canada) to 332,817 in September. September year-over-year change (change from 2021): -17.3% (-27.7%)
• TR to PRs transition (i.e., those already in Canada): Increase from 19,985 in July (some double counting) to 23,315 in August (67 percent of all PRs). July year-over-year change (change from 2020): 50.4% (-24.5%)
• Temporary Residents:
• TRs/IMP: Sharp increase from 93,625 in July to 125,460 in August. August year-over-year (change from 2021: Agreements: -49.9% (-39.1%), Canadian Interests: 180.3% (213.9%), Other IMP Participants 417.1% (898.5%), Not stated 27.0% (334.0%)
