Writing Reflection on ENG 111 and ENG 1102

Developing critical concepts of writing and rhetorical analysis requires a deeper
understanding of the learning objectives in the course ENG 1101 and ENG 1102. These are the
objective which can further strengthen the outcome of knowledge of student to understand the
purpose and organization of writing and research. For student to contribute effectively to the
complex nature of writing, the kills such as analyzing, identification a d research skills are
important aspect that the learner must acquire before being fledged as a writer. Though constant
writing, I am now able to say that I can now be a better writer based on the knowledge I have
acquired in the in ENG1101 and ENG 1102.
I had belter reading and listening skills which are integral aspect in reading process. I
also had effective skills of completing a writing task and I could exhibit a metacognitive thinking
strategies in the handling various course requirement. However, I had a weakens of poor wording
of the sentences. The research process in the course were demanding and often were specific to
the various task. Each assignment required that research was done coupled with in-text citation
and referencing pages. The process was challenging but through constant learning and practice,

the skills enabled me to adopt the research process requirements. Using the concepts of writing
such rhetoric to identify and analyses concepts was a little bit challenging, but I managed to
develop interest and apply it with ease.
I managed to learn new styles of writing such APA, MLA, and other writing techniques
which enabled me to summarize thus expanding my knowledge on the learning objectives. I was
able to develop skills of writing argumentative and evaluative essay which are important part of
writing. The research process also required a precise information which were supported with
evidence, unless one had knowledge of the research, this process was not easy. It was like almost
every papers required such formatting to be effective. Despite this formatting style requiring
vigorousness and specific organization, I managed to develop the requirement of the research
process with eaze and I am able to apply the knowledge in various topics. After various
assignment, I am now able to design various assignment such memo, resumes, and research
report.
Flanked with various skills of writing, I am now ready to start writing academic essay,
Short stories and even novels. I know this process might take a while before reaching a specific
goal, I am sure the knowledge I have acquire can enable me do a lot of writing. Besides, the
research process is a significant process which can help me expand my knowledge on various
topics I will be handling. The skills I have will form the foundation of the future career and
shape how I write.
In conclusion, the learning experiences were very effective because it enabled me to
overcome various weakness I had previously in writing. It also enabled me to acquire certain
learning kills based on the writing objectives. The skills I had before were strengthen by the new
learning objectives and at the same time, I had the skills of research and writing styles which

enable me to organize my knowledge on various topics, and used the knowledge to develop my
writing. Writing styles such MLA and APA were major skills that boosted by writing because
they reaffirmed that whatever I was writing was thoroughly researched.
