3. Target Audience
The target audience for my movie will be fans of horror
movies and also adventure/thrill movies as it will quite an
intense horror/advenure movie my movie will be suitible for
ages 15+
I am making my movie for fans of the horror genre and also
fans of adventure movies
4. The rest of the market
Some of the adventure/horror movies on the market include things such as
Burning Bright
REC 2
Dr. Owen an official from the Ministry Of Health, and a heavily
armed geo team equipped with video cameras are sent into a quarantined
apartment building to control the situation. They search the penthouse and
crawlspace where the first film ended, finding nothing. While investigating a
disturbance below, Martos, a GEO operator, is killed and infected while
encountering some of the possessed residents. Owen then uses religious
mantra and rosary to hold him off in a room. It turns out that Owen is
actually a priest sent by the Vatican to get a blood sample from a
possessed girl named Tristina the same attacker from the end of the
previous film.
The film opens with a man driving a circus trailer down a silent road and it
is revealed that he is attempting to purchase a Bengal for the creation of a
"Safari Ranch". When he doesn't think the tiger looks dangerous enough,
the seller tells him a gruesome story and claims that the tiger is evil.
Meanwhile, John's stepdaughter, Kelly (Briana Evigan ) is with
herautistic brother, Tom whom she has taken to a special hospital for him to
be cared for while she is at college. However, Kelly's payment to the
hospital is rejected and, upon calling her bank, she is informed that John
withdrew all the money and closed the account.
5. Expectations
Audience expectations for horror movie's and it's many sub genre's tends
to be a thrilling and scary experience. Depending on the film people will
expect to find these thrill's in different way's, whether it be through
physiological horror that play's on there mind even after the film is over or
maybe they prefer a more creepy style of horror that creates its scare's
through its twisted, strange and creepy style. Some people prefer there
scare's through gore fest's and slasher's that use violence and mutilation to
strike fear into the heart's of their audience's. Overall however audience's
expected to be scared from watching horror film or at least feel unnerved
by the film in what ever way the film was chosen to go about creating that
fear. Some audience's may also expect a compelling story within there
horror movies and others may expect stunning visuals these generally tend
to be lover's of the slasher sub genre. Finally some may expect to see
creative and original creature's and monsters within there horror movie's
that may have required some amazing puppeteering and special effects to
achieve.
Another thing audience's may expect to find in the horror genre would be a
memorable experience that gripped them throughout however this could be
considered something that audiences expect from most film genre's.
However I feel it could be considered more so from horror as to achieve
scare's you must first have the audience's attention.
Adventure Films are exciting stories, with new experiences or exotic
locales. Adventure films are very similar to the action movie genre, in that
they are designed to provide an action-filled, energetic experience for the
film viewer. Rather than the predominant emphasis on violence and fighting
that is found in action films, however, the viewer of adventure films can live
vicariously through the travels, conquests, explorations, creation of
empires, struggles and situations that confront the main characters, actual
historical figures or protagonists.
7. Pre production/ crew requirements
For my movie I will require a video editor who can edit my movie
I will need actors to act within the movie
I will need a location scout so that we can find locations where we can film the movie
I will also need somebody in charge of the cameras and also somebody in charge of sound.
