• ONE number that incorporates all your
financial components (savings, retirement,
assets, house equity AND debts like credit
cards, mortgage, and car loans)
• It’s a reflection of your current income,
spending habits, savings habits,
circumstances, and priorities
• OWN IT!

15. Assets – Liabilities = Net Worth
• Assets: value of house, household items, car,
jewelry, savings accounts, retirement
accounts, cash, gold/silver, collectibles
• Liabilities: money owed on house, car, etc.
Credit card, HELOC, student loan or business
debts.

• Helps you accurately track your progress. It
goes up or down.
• More accurate measure than income alone.
• Puts your debts into perspective.
• Helpful when applying for a loan.
• Helps you make clearer financial decisions.

17. Cash Flow (aka – Spending Plan)
• It’s a more “micro” picture of what you are
doing with your money.
• A plan has you moving forward towards your
goals while a budget feels restrictive.
• How much is left to invest? (phase 3)

18. Love your Plan
• Open yourself to opportunities.
• Be intentional how you spend your money.
• Spend on items and experiences that have the
greatest ROI.
• Avoid unnecessary debt.
• Leverage your leftovers.
• Decrease stress because you have a cushion.
