 EZcorp Inc. is one of the largest pawn shop operators that focus on providing
credit services for all your short term cash needs.
They’re headquarters are based out of Austin, Texas.
They Specialize in financial services
such as pay day loans, pawns, and retail sales.
I have conducted business with some of the stores that are ran by EZcorp, and I
have personal relationships with employees that work in their pawn shops in
Florida.

3. The Opportunity
 With headquarters being based out of Texas, the server that runs the pawn shops
entire system – The Easy System – can get quite over worked and become
extremely busy at times.
The easy system controls ALL TRANSACTIONS including label making,
purchases, sales, pawns, and customer account searches.
When the server is down you can not do anything within the scope of
business. This is a huge inconvenience to customers, employees, and
the company’s business over all.
The reason I chose this problem is because I can recall numerous occasions when I
would be doing business with the pawn shop and their computers would go offline.
The whole store is literally at stand still because the employees can not continue business
without the system.

4. Audience Analysis
 The decision makers that will be most
interested in the proposal to resolve issues
with servers for the Easy System are:
Executives within the company
should be concerned about upgrades to the information systems
within their stores to ensure customer and employee
satisfaction.
Server operators will have the
chance to relocate and there will be less maintenance needed.

5. Possible Key Stakeholders
Who will care?
Loyal, continuous customers will notice
a difference when they do not hear “The computers are
down” as often as they do now, if ever.
Employees who experience
aggravation with the system
Stakeholders that will be involved in the solution to the server
problem will be:
-Top executives
-The IT department
-Regional Managers
-Training managers
This improvement will directly impact all customers, store level
employees and managers, and the IT department.
