Location :
 Ovaries are located on either sides of the uterus
Functions :
 Main reproductive function of the ovary includes
• Production of oocytes(eggs) for fertilization

Testis
Identification characters :
• Tunica alveoginia and tunica vasculosa are present.
• Seminiferous tubules are also present.
• Spermatozoa in the lumen can also be seen.
• Interstitial cells can also be seen easily.
Location :
 These are located in a hollow sac
 like structure called scrotum which lie outside the body.
Functions :
 The main primary function of the testis are to produce
sperm(spermatogenesis).
 Produce androgens and primarily the testosterone.
Thyroid gland

• Epithelium is lined by follicle cells.
• Capillaries are present.
Location :
 It is located in front of
the neck.
Function:

Spinal cord

 It is located in the vertebral column.
Function :
 The vessels that carry oxygenated blood from the heart are
the arteries.
 These carry blood to the lungs for oxygenation.
Artery

Locations :
 These are located in all the body.
Functions :

 It is located in the palmer hand.
Functions :

Mammary glands

 Located in the breast , situated at the chest.
Functions :
 Responsible for lactation (production of milk) to feed the young

Location :
 Located in Meniscus of knees , Pubis symphysis and discs of
vertebra.
Function :
 Its main function is
• To resist

Salivary glands

• Mucous gland is present.
• Ducts of gland can also be seen.
• Stratified squamous non-keratinized
cells can be seen easily.
Location :
 Salivary glands are mainly comprises of
 Parotid glands located between ear and jaws
 Submandibular glands located under jaws
 Sublingual glands located on the floor of mouth
Function :
 Main functions of the salivary glands is
