patient-centred health care delivery system.
• In delivering health care, an effective teamwork can

outcome.
4. DEFINITION OF TERMS
• TEAM: A team is a small number of people with
complementary skills who are committed to a common
purpose, performance goals and approach for which they
hold each other mutually accountable.
• TEAMWORK: is defined as two or more people who
interact interdependently with a common purpose,
working toward measurable goals that benefit from
leadership that maintains stability while encouraging
honest discussion and problem solving.
