INTERVIEW WITH MAX A RECENT INTERIOR DESIGN GRADUATE
Just a transition job.
I wish I’d gone to my directors and
teachers. They knew my work best.
I feel frustrated that I’m not
performing the way I thought I
would.
I’ve got my dream job, why is it so
hard?
Why didn’t they prepare us for this
in school?
I need to make this work.
I figured stuff out in school. I can do
it now.
I’ve got resources and people that
know me that can help.
Feel just as confused as the
beginning of school. What the
freak?!
I didn’t expect it would be this type
of work. Definitely a struggle.
Be patient with yourself.
I knew I could do better for a full
time career.
People in this field are like me - our
personalities fit so it helped a lot.
It was about me being comfortable.
Really helped having another
professionals recommendation.
How do my strengths fit into this
job?
Yawn...
Exhausted
Confused
Determined
Disheartened
Thankful
Enlivened
Hopeful
Knew how much I had grown in
school. I wanted/needed something
to help me continue to grow at the
same rate.
