13. Steps for Implementation
1. Raising awareness in schools with the help of trained professionals and via
advertisement campaigns.
2. Spreading the word of rehabilitation centres that help with nicotine addiction
recovery.
3. Promoting healthier alternatives to nicotine-based products.
4. Solving the problem from the roots of addiction.
14.
15. Establish ourselves
as a non-profit
organisation.
Gain financial support from
philanthropists such as
Thomas Siebel.
Print advertisements and begin to meet
first objective of raising awareness.
Hire a marketing campaign including
psychologists to understand why teens
are getting addicted and produce a
campaign to work around that addressing
the root of addiction and allowing it to be
overcome
Provide information in these
advertisements as to the
Nicotine Anonymous website
to prevent relapses.
Encourage the consumption of substitutes
lacking nicotine by advertising them and
offering financial support to act as a
quasi-subsidy to increase production, and
the availability of alternatives means
decreased nicotine consumption.Rally for government
support to discourage
the consumption of
nicotine as a demerit
good and for
microeconomic
policies.
A decrease in nicotine
consumption
Government policies would include but
not be limited to taxes, minimum prices,
production caps, regulation, etc.

Hello and good morning everyone. I would like to start off our presentation with 2 pictures. Can anybody tell me what they see? Okay now what is a common ingredient in both of them?
Right so you guys know that, and we know that. Nicotine is an addictive drug that keeps you smoking. But did you know that 63% of e-cigarette users don’t know that they contain nicotine? The popularity of vaping in effect is making a new generation addicted to nicotine.
Our presentation today will attempt to resolve this issue.

The most prevalent problem with nicotine facing youths today is not with cigarettes. Instead, it lies with e-cigarettes. So we aren’t going to stand here and explain how we’re going to eradicate the nicotine problem, because well we can’t.
What we can do is educate and try to give people tools to make a good decision. They can use visuals such as this one. They can also explain that vaping although it may not kill you, still contains nicotine and can be harmful and very addictive. Also, emphasizing the effect on their future and how habits stick when they start young. = all lead to helping them make the choice themselves.
Other ways can be creating a website with further links and information on the issue. There can also be links to resources which can help young people change their habits.
Posters can be distributed to schools and youth centres, after talks or just for further awareness.
Hotlines for help can also be displayed on posters or slides of a presentation. Chat rooms can also be listed for those who are nervous about calling.
