A project proposal about proper waste management

"Oplan TATABA"

ng BAsura)

3. Rationale:
"Oplan TATABA (Tamang Tapon ng Basura): Be a FRIEND to
the ENVIRONMENT" project is intended to lessen the
amount of solid waste in our community and to educate
the people about the proper ways management and
disposal. Because as I have observed in our community
people are uneducated about the proper waste
management and disposal. Some may know that plastic
bottles, tin cans, and bottles can be sold. So,they are
separating them to other garbages but they don't know
that there are other solid garbages that can also be
recycled. Some examples are wrappers and cellophane
which can be transformed into various products.

somehow solve the issue, we came up of this idea. Our
objective is to gather the people to participate in our
symposium. Our symposium will tackle about the
disadvantages of improper waste management and
disposal, the advantages of proper waste management
and disposal and how to turn worthless junks into useful
goodies. We'll also distribute trash cans to the
participants. In order to make all these things happen we
decided to ask for so to solicitation from the government
officials since as we can't provide for the expenses of this
project.

8. Expected Impact:
Desired Outcome: To reduce the amount of
waste in certain community. To be able to
adopt a much better way of waste
management and disposal. To switch to an
alternative but environment friendly
production of products using waste as a raw
material. To avoid contamination of land,
water and air caused by the improper way of
waste management and disposal.
