The Past Perfect Tense is for talking
about something that happened before
something else.

S + Had + V3 + Object
( - ) Negative :
S + Hadn’t + V3 + Object

Had + Subject + V3 + ?

4. Use of Past Perfect
The past perfect tense is used to
show that something happened
before another action in the
past. It can also be used to show
that something happened
before a specific time in the
past.

childhood.
2. I had lost my camera.
3. He had earned a lot of money.
4. My Father had brought a new car.
