1. Band image manipulation
I have chosen to use this image to help with my main image on my front cover page. This image is
useful because they artist “LMFAO” are from the dance music genre. They are posing in exciting
position and have used a medium long shot to get a lot of colour in from their clothing and
background. Also the lighting is high key on the artist and a shadow is created. The lighting around
them is quite low key to help make the artists stand out. They are looking directly at the camera
which helps to attract the audience and grab their attention.
This is the image for my front cover. I have turned the original long shot into a medium long shot
image so that the artists are more centred in the image. They are looking directly at the camera and
to make the reader feel more involved. The expression on their faces is less serious and more
playful. The brightness has been lifted on the artists to make them stand out from the background.
The shadow created on the background helps to bring out the artists and make them the dominant
contrast.
