3. Introduction
The compsite is:
A composite material is a
material made from two or
more constituent materials with
significantly different physical
or chemical properties that,
when combined, produce a
material with characteristics
different from the individual
components.
4. Activity 1: Testing different kind of ice
Objective:
Compare between ice and ice with different composite and then see which one
best properities. the pure ice , or ice with cotton or straw
pure ice
ice and
straw
ice and cotton (tissue)
Results: We found that the pure ice easily
broken while the mixture with ice
cotton broken hardly
5. Activity 2: Hunting for composite Material
Objective :
What are the composites we use in real life ?
_we have a lot of examples of composites in our daily life
CyclingIn sports :
health care:
public infrastructure:
prostheses
bridges
6. Activity 3:Exploring the different between
strength & stiffness
Objective:
Test different types of materials such as plastic rod, iron, rope and
pasta.

7. Activity 4: Testing a foam composites for
strength & stiffness
Objective:
Test strength and stiffness for : a foam composite , a foam with
tape from one side and a foam with tape from both side.

8. Design Project: Designing a fishing
pole
Objective:
Make afishing pole with different materials.

10. Exposed roads to mechanical stresses caused by movement of the
different vehicles so we need a Mstmraly maintenance of various
symptoms such as: noise generated by traffic on the roads and be
cracks on the road surface and friction tires and obsolete, and
through research and found that the addition of rubber tires
damaged to a mixture asphalt contributes to reduce the noise
caused by the movement of vehicles on the street, and also reduce
the proportion glides when it is raining where increase the
proportion of friction between the street and the car, as well as
reduce the cost of mix regular asphalt and is also strengthening the
mixture on the one hand and the preservation of the environment
on the one hand Okhry.
Introduction
11. 1.significantly reduced by noise
2. safety tires stick to the road where the best
3. increase slip resistance
4. no need for sound barriers
5. reduce a large proportion of road accidents ,
especially in the rainy skies
6. not to be cracks on the road surface
7. Tire Recycling damaged sound and meaningful
way
8. improve road specifications
objectives
12. 1. reduce the material costs for paving
the streets, re-use car tires consumed.
2. reduce damage to the environment
3-spread best Shortly cohesion and
higher.
4. stabilizing at higher confused with
the change of viscosity.
5. high degree of smoothness.
6. higher recovery factor.
hypothesis
14. 1. Prepare a standard form of the traditional asphalt
using the same materials available in Najaf asphalt
plant.
2. heating the material visceral and coarse aggregate,
sand and cement to the point (140 m).
3. add minced rubber to coincide with the addition of
heated asphalt degree (140 m) to the visceral material
above.
4. The degree of mixing process in the end (155 m).
Methods :
15. Results
The results of mixing ground rubber in asphalt
mixture:-
1) possibility of use of rubber in asphalt mix.
2) improved physical properties of asphalt
mixture after mixing rubber.
3) best mixing ratio (20%) The amount of
asphalt used in asphalt mixture
