3. What does Biodegradation mean?
Biodegradation is a natural
process during which fungi,
bacteria or other biological
organisms break down materials.
After full biodegradation,
materials are broken down into
their component molecules
usually carbon dioxide and water.
5. Pill N´Plants
Introduction
Plant is an essential element for the continuation of life and it is a basic source of food
chain so it must be maintained and cultivated and developed.
Agriculture is of great importance in many ways, so countries must renaissance in
agriculture, which will enhance their economy and make them able to produce and
prosper
Aim of the work
In this project we aim to make irrigation capsules water plants with no human
interference. These capsules are made from biodegradable materials so that
eventually it will degrade to natural by products are beneficial to the environment

Hypothesis
The project suggests that the
biodegradable capsule will degrade
is specific time to allow continues
and steady irrigation of plants and
small or large scales.

Methods and Materials
The pill n´plants capsules will be made
from the following
1. Gelatin with different
concentrations
2. Water
3. Natural food colors
4. Plants nutrients like minerals

Results
• Our product the pill n´plants will degrade gradually top provide water to
plants according to bellow graphs of gelatin concentration vs. time
• The capsules will degrade slowly when contacted with soil and the complete
degradation time is shown in the graph

9. Benefits
Since the blockade in Qatar, the country is developing more rapidly in many
aspects especially the agriculture. This project will allow more plantation
and agriculture since it will provide a solution for watering the plants
The product can be used in smaller scale in house gardens and plants
It will be beneficial to owners who are traveling and no one is available to
water the plants
Overall, there will be great benefits to the environment
11. Conclusions
Our experience was unique with Al-Biaraq,
we performed experiments and learned a
lot about biodegradation and its benefits to
the environment.
We were able to apply what we learnt in
a design project that will more people be
interesting in plating and agriculture
