Since the completion of the role in India in 2013, now located in Minneapolis, as a General
Manager acting as Global Lead for Cargill's eBill of Lading & eDocumentation development and
implementation project.
Tripled Cargill’s use within two years of ‘e’ to capture nearly 6 million tons of Agri & Metals
shipments using eB/L & eDocumentation technology, working with Technology Governance, Risk
& Control, Enterprise Architecture and Legal. This cutting edge, overhead reducing solution
applied to Bulk, Tanker and Container transport.

Negotiating for greater utilization of the then mature 'off shore' shared service unit CGTS in Gurgaon,

Accepted the position to head an ambitious, innovative concept to create, lead and grow a Cargill
captive 'off shore' business.
Managed this ‘off shore’ Execution and Finance shared service operation in Gurgaon, India GGTS
(Cargill Global Trade Solutions, now Cargill Business Services). Supported and partnered with multiple
and diverse ‘on shore’ Cargill businesses globally.
Key Accomplishments and Contributions:
Responsible for CGTS increase of 160% in personnel and was supporting 12 Cargill Business
Unit’s from three originally.
Employee engagement scores resulted in the high 70% and attrition in single figures compared
to Indian industry norms of 30%.
This pilot project has resulted in a Global expansion of ‘captive off shoring/shared service
consolidation’ as a Cargill Corporate strategy in key geographic locations.

Promoted and charged to create and lead a fusion of former trading activities with various admin and
supply chain support departments into a single Trade Execution/Trading Support Team of some 50+
FTEs at head offices in Memphis and Liverpool and additionally 100+ FTEs globally.
Key Accomplishments and Contributions:
Letter of Credit clean negotiation rates of 98%.
Elevated to Cargill Cotton’s Senior Leadership/Management Team as Global Trade Execution
Lead in 2005 with significant additional worldwide FTEs, diverse geopolitical, cultural,
commercial, system and logistical challenges to manage and homogenize.
Senior role as part of Cargill Cotton’s African ginning acquisition, development, expansion and
management infrastructural teams in Malawi, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and South Africa.
Solely responsible for building Cargill Cotton’s JV ginning business in Mozambique.
Pioneered the first Cotton supply chain routes from originating countries of the Central Asian
Independent States of the former Soviet Union to Bandar Abbas, Iran. A first for the Cotton
industry, which became and industry standard.
Responsible for Cargill Cotton’s ability to capture major market share from Uzbekistan &
Turkmenistan through development of multiple $100M pre finance risk mitigating products on
the Political Risk Insurance Market.
Developed a structure with Fortis, ABN Amro and ING Banks for taking such pre finance from
Cargill’s books by off balance sheet funding solutions for the above.
Introduced into Cargill the concept of remote Letter of Credit presentation and negotiations.
Responsible for creating an infrastructure through Confiscation, Nationalization, Expropriation
& Deprivation insurance tools to protect Cargill’s investment and business and allowed
continuance in geopolitically high risk markets of Zimbabwe, Iran, Sudan, etc.
Led a Core Process Redesign (CPR) of the Cargill Zimbabwe business resulting in major
managerial and process changes, improvements and efficiencies.
Similarly, led CPR projects in Cargill Cotton, Liverpool, Memphis, Zimbabwe, and Cargill Sugar
India. Employee Engagement Survey cycle 5 & 6 in Liverpool produced a Trade Execution
Score of mid 90%.
